Method Evaluation/Validation Testing
Most manufacturers require that any analysis method used in conjunction with their production procedures follows specific guidelines that meet the companies' HACCP, GMP or GLP requirements. This should include evaluation and validation of the method with each specific matrix the assay would encounter. This process can be very time consuming and involve special expertise in both the method and the matrix.
